Remove All Messes and Remedy Your Vehicle’s Exterior

What does exterior vehicle detailing mean to you and what you drive? Couldn’t you just take your ride through a public car wash here in Denver, Colorado and drive off satisfied? The answer is ‘no’, because public car washes and minimal effort exterior vehicle cleaning does NOT elevate your paint, glass, metal, and other surfaces quite like our pro exterior decontamination and detailing here at Colorado Auto Spa!

Our exterior vehicle detailers use two bucket hand washes, clay-bar decontamination processes, and air and blow drying to eradicate everything from dried bug splatters to acid rain that would otherwise leave behind etching problems on your finish. Not only that, having your car or truck professionally detailed means that all the hard-to-reach areas are handled expertly.

Be sure to also explore our ceramic coating page to check out what type of vehicle paint correction packages we have here at Colorado Auto Spa. Not only will these packages remove surface defects like scratches and swirls, they buff and polish your paintwork to a level of high gloss worth protecting with a ceramic coating!

Decontaminating and Correcting A Vehicle Prior To Ceramic Coating Installation - Is It Needed?

We get this question all the time here at Colorado Auto Spa by customers who drive everything from daily drivers to exotics, sports cars, or RVs. Yes, paint correction and surface decontamination is needed prior to having a Gtechniq Ceramic Coating installed on your automobile’s exterior.

Not only due to both the protective nature of our ceramic coating packages and the high-level of gloss they provide painted surfaces, the longevity of them requires us to first clean and then correct the paint surfaces that will be coated. Anything locked beneath your vehicle’s ceramic coating will stay locked in place for years, including dust, grime, surface scratches, and anything that could have and should have been remedied prior.

But this requirement is why we at Colorado Auto Spa require all customers to have their vehicle’s exterior detailed by our professional car care crew, along with selecting a paint correction package thereafter as needed. Keep in mind, we can also bring all of these exterior vehicle detailing services to your home location with our mobile detailing unit!

Exterior Auto Detailing FAQs - Answered By Colorado Auto Spa

  • How does removing exterior contamination keep my finish safe?

Letting even the simplest exterior contamination sit on your car, truck, SUV, or RV can leave a distasteful, lasting impact on it. This is due to the chemical makeup of everything from tree sap and road salt to acid rain and oil from the highway. Having those contaminants removed professionally prevents surface degradation and provides lasting protection.

  • Do you dry my exterior with a towel following your hand wash?

Towel drying any part of a vehicle is a dangerous endeavor, as this runs the risk of surface scratches that will then need to be remedied by paint correction services. Instead, we dab excess water dry with a microfiber cloth specifically designed for detailing purposes, letting some areas completely air dry in a safe environment while blow drying cracks and crevasses free of water droplets.

  • What does clay-bar decontamination do?

When a clay bar is taken to vehicle paintwork, metal surfaces, and glass windows, it agitates remaining surface contamination on a molecular level. In doing so, those molecules of dirt, grime, and film latch to the clay bar itself, getting lifted from your surface which leaves behind a purely perfect finish glow.

  • Do you perform paint correction services at Colorado Auto Spa?

We can correct your paintwork if, following decontamination, we notice that there are swirls, scratches, nicks, and paint chips that remain. However, it is of value to note that following paint correction, we require customers to purchase a ceramic coating to further protect their finish.
